About this game

Car Park Simulator is a driving game about arriving rather than racing. There are 72 listed levels, each a fixed arrangement of obstacles and narrow gaps, and the stated objective is to park the car in the direction an arrow indicates.

The direction requirement is what separates it from a maze. Reaching the bay is not enough on its own: the car has to finish facing the way the marker points, so the last few metres are often the hardest part of a level.

How to play

The shipped interface names four movements and nothing else: forward, backward, turn left and turn right. Steering is tied to motion rather than to a wheel, so the car pivots while it rolls and a turn taken from a standstill goes nowhere.

Failing a level produces a Level Failed message rather than damage carried between attempts, and a click-to-continue prompt returns you to the same arrangement. Nothing is timed, so a level can be approached as many times as it takes.

Tips

• Set the approach angle early, in the open part of the level. The car turns only while moving, so the space you have to correct in is largest before you enter the gap, not after.
• Reverse into tight bays rather than driving in. A car turns around its rear axle, so backing in swings the nose clear of an obstacle that a forward entry would clip.
• Read the arrow before you choose a route. Two approaches that both reach the bay can differ entirely in which one leaves you facing the right way, and only one of them counts.
