Magic Bubbles

About this game

Magic Bubbles is a bubble shooter arranged as a numbered campaign rather than an endless board. Each stage opens with a card naming it, stating what the stage wants, and showing three stars above it that are dark until you earn them.

The objective is written in plain words on that card. One stage asked to POP ALL and displayed three coloured bubbles as the things to clear, with a running score beneath it reading 5 050, so the rating and the score are tracked separately.

How to play

Aim from the launcher at the bottom of the board and release to fire a bubble upward. Bubbles stick where they land, and a group of matching colours large enough to count falls away together with anything hanging beneath it.

Press Play on the stage card to begin, or the red cross to back out and choose again. The publisher's interface text refers to level goals for clearing bubbles, extensions that add moves, boosters and a shop, so a stage that stalls is not necessarily lost.

Tips

• Shoot at the ceiling anchors before the loose colours underneath. A cluster only falls when what holds it up is gone, so removing one anchoring bubble can drop a whole hanging section that would take several direct shots to clear.
• Read the stage card before firing. The wording changes what a good shot is, and clearing everything asks for different play from clearing one colour, which is not obvious once the board is on screen.
• Bank shots off the side walls rather than threading gaps. The launcher sits low and centred, so the walls are often the only line to a bubble tucked under an overhang, and a rebound costs the same single shot as a miss.
