About this game

Pizza Now is an isometric restaurant game in which you walk one character around a plot rather than tapping through menus. The camera looks down on a corner site with a service frontage along one wall, and a cash figure sits alone at the top of the frame.

Its publisher describes growing a pizzeria from a one-person shop toward something much larger. Nothing on screen counts lives or seconds, so progress is measured only in money, and the browser holds a shop, a wardrobe of character skins and a set of timed boosters between visits.

How to play

Walk the character with the arrow keys or by dragging across the plot; both register here, which is unusual among these titles. Plus and minus buttons on the right edge zoom the camera, and the circular arrow underneath returns it to the default framing.

Cash builds up as the character works and is spent through an in-game shop. Three boosters are offered on timers rather than as permanent upgrades: double income for three minutes, double carrying capacity for two, and a movement speed boost, each attached to a video advert rather than a price.

Tips

• Take the carrying-capacity booster before the income one when work has piled up. Capacity decides how much a single trip is worth, and doubling the value of trips you have not made yet is worth less than making fewer of them.
• Zoom out before choosing where to walk. The plot continues past the default framing, and the arrows drawn on the floor point toward wherever the game wants the character next, which is easy to miss when the camera is tight.
• Treat the three timers as one resource rather than three. Each is unlocked by watching a video rather than by paying, so they compete for your patience rather than your balance, and stacking them on a quiet stretch wastes both.
